Every now and then in the world of real estate, several potential home buyers will come across the very same "perfect house” at the same time. The result is what is commonly known as a bidding war. Though I've written before that Laurel Park is the most charming neighborhood in Sarasota, over the last several years, Gillespie Park has really come into its own and may be giving Laurel a run for its money. A few decades ago, it wasn't the best of neighborhoods and most people didn't feel safe walking through it after dark. Sarasota Brewing Company was the first, and for a long time, it was the only brewery around. An anchor of Gulf Gate Village since 1989, this micro-brewery has also received a number of awards for its food, namely the burgers and Chicago beef sandwiches. Always a great place to catch a game, there always at least 5 unique brews on tap and 20 seasonal beers that rotate throughout the year.
